Order Fulfillment
Fulex is an experienced, optimized ecommerce fulfillment provider, helping online businesses with better automation and efficiency. We will manage your order fulfillment from start to finish.
Our flexible processes are essential to creating and managing omnichannel supply chains. We integrate with multiple online shopping carts and help automate your entire order fulfillment process, alongside our warehousing, kitting and assembly, and transportation solutions. Whether you sell directly to customers or through a retailer, we can help you get your packages delivered on time.
Warehousing
Headquartered in Detroit, Fulex manages geographically dispersed and strategically located fulfillment centers across the U.S., including Detroit, Michigan, Chattanooga, Tennessee, and San Diego, California.
Our fulfillment centers use Warehouse Management System (WMS) software and processes that allow us to control and administer logistics operations, including putaway, replenishment, and picking. It manages the movement and storage of products and reduces the time and effort associated with supply chain logistics, enabling effective handling of inventory storage tracked in real time.
Kitting Projects and Assembly
Kitting projects, also referred to as "product bundling", is the packaging of at least two related items together to be sold as a "kit" and prepared for shipment. Your ecommerce business may need our kitting and assembly services if you're working with multiple manufacturers sending separate pieces of your kit to our fulfillment centers.
Creating special bundles, kits, or gift baskets can combine products in a way that's valuable to your customers and help your company move more product. Outsourcing these services to Fulex frees up time so you can stay focused on other things, such as improving lead times and providing better, faster customer service.
Transportation
Transportation and logistics must be thorough and well-planned to ensure timely delivery and minimize transit risks. We use a Transportation Management System (TMS) to help with manifesting shipments, finding rate quotes, and managing carriers. Our fulfillment centers have built-in inventory management software to provide real-time updates for the business owner and customer along the entire product journey.
Fulex uses software to optimize fulfillment, which includes automated processing, inventory tracking, and order management, among other things. We have package tracing from the time it leaves the fulfillment center until the time it arrives at the consignee. Using this technology to automatically track and view inventory levels in real-time all from a single dashboard is the best way to stay on top of your supply chain.
Omnichannel
Creating a solid omnichannel marketing strategy with a reliable, unified presence across third-party platforms gives your customers a consistent shopping experience. It also provides consumers with the option to interact with your brand in a way that’s convenient for them.
Our omnichannel strategies combine elements of sales strategy, digital marketing, and customer service, with the aim of giving customers a fully integrated experience, regardless of the channel they use. Combining these creates a single, cohesive system streamlining the omnichannel supply chain as well as a shared experience between consumers and businesses.
Business to Business (B2B)
Fulex helps manage the “back end” operations and order fulfillment needs of your organization by creating a fully integrated structure that handles critical back-end marketing operations and supply chain management for business-to-business (B2B).

What are the benefits of outsourcing order fulfillment?
Outsourcing order fulfillment helps your business adapt to consumer needs, streamlines logistics operations, increases profit margins and efficiencies, provides for faster delivery times, and lowers shipping costs.
How do I choose the right order fulfillment provider?
Consider the fulfillment provider’s experience and reputation. Specifically, look for providers with a proven track record in e-commerce fulfillment. It’s also important to ensure the provider can grow with you. Location is another important factor. Determine whether their fulfillment centers are within a good proximity to your customers to ensure efficient shipping times. Finally, ask them what their integration and technology capabilities are to confirm compatibility with your existing systems.
What is a 3PL, and how does it work?
A 3PL (third-party logistics) provider is a company that handles order fulfillment, warehousing, and shipping on behalf of other businesses. Ecommerce brands send inventory to the 3PL's fulfillment centers, and the 3PL stores products, then picks, packs, and ships orders as they come in.
