Amazon not shipping orders for non-essential products – Fulex eCommerce Fulfillment will be fully operational in response to the COVID-19 emergency
In response to the COVID-19 emergency, the Transportation and Logistics industry was declared imperative as functioning critical infrastructure for both the public health and safety as well as community well-being. This includes: postal, parcel, courier, last-mile delivery, and shipping and related workers, to include private companies.
“Certain critical infrastructure industries have a special responsibility in these times to continue operations. This advisory guidance and accompanying list are intended to support state, local, tribal, territorial and industry partners in identifying the critical infrastructure sectors and the essential workers needed to maintain the services and functions Americans depend on daily and that need to be able to operate resiliently during the COVID-19 pandemic response.”

Details on Amazon Not Shipping Orders for Non-Essentials
However, unlike Amazon not shipping orders, Fulex will continue to receive and fulfill products for all its clients. On Tuesday March 17th, 2020, Amazon froze the receipt of incoming shipments of nonessential products from it’s Third-Party FBA Sellers in response to the COVID-19 emergency. The freeze lasts until April 5, 2020 leaving a number of ecommerce companies at a standstill if you’re an FBA Merchant. This can be devastating for online retail businesses and result in more order cancellations as online consumers look for other outlets that will provide faster delivery.
For small and mid-sized businesses with an immediate need of fulfillment alternatives, Fulex is offering flexible solutions to provide quick and easy on-boarding for new clients and efficient shipping of your ecommerce products. If your business is being affected by the new FBA rules, please reach out to one of our fulfillment specialists!
